Academy of Kathak Dance

The Academy of Kathak Dance was founded in 1997 by the Kathak-dancer Ioanna Srinivasan. The aim of the school is the propagation and teaching of Kathak, the classical dance-style of northern India. To compliment the dance training, instruction in indian classical music is also given. Courses are open for persons of all ages. There is a course especially for children.
Kathak students at the Academy are also able to enter the government approved examination set by Pracheen Kala Kendra of Chandighar, India.
Regular workshops for all levels of dancers take place.
